Introduction:

I have been practicing family law in Vancouver for more than 20 years, first as a litigator arguing cases in the BC Supreme Court and BC Court of Appeal, and in the last 12 years, focusing on out-of-court settlements, including mediation and Collaborative Divorce. I feel passionate about helping families through the difficult transition of separation in the least damaging way possible through the formal Collaborative Divorce process. No other process provides an interdisciplinary approach, recognizing that clients frequently require emotional support, communication counselling, child development expertise, and/or financial guidance, in addition to legal advice.

In addition to practicing Collaborative Divorce; I frequently assist clients with the negotiation and drafting of pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements, which can also be done through a formal Collaborative process; and I am a certified family mediator. I am currently the co-president of the BC Collaborative Roster Society and am committed to promoting Collaborative Divorce law in BC.
