Introduction:

Before becoming a lawyer, Marcus was a social worker and he uses this experience when working through difficult divorces and separations. Marcus is a Collaborative Divorce Lawyer in British Columbia and Alberta. He is also an accredited family law mediator. 

Marcus believes that in most cases alternative dispute resolution like collaborative family law or mediation can save time and resources. However, Marcus is also a strong advocate in family court when the need arises. 

Marcus founded Crossroads Law with the goal of creating a family law firm that truly responds to the needs of clients. He believes that clients should expect great customer service including timely responses and efficient progress on their files. 

Marcus also strongly believes that the legal coaching model improves access to justice by empowering self-represented individuals to represent themselves better in mediation and court without the need for an expensive lawyer retainer. 

Giving back to the community is important for Marcus. He has been a board member for various non-profits and volunteered with numerous organizations. Marcus has also trained law students on family law litigation and has presented family law topics to various community groups.
