I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with many years of professional practice supporting children, adults, and families through challenging life transitions. I have extensive training in conflict resolution and de-escalation, bolstered by the transformative power of empathy as well as evidence-based interventions. I ensure my clients receive trauma-informed care that respects their unique journeys while also achieving pragmatic results. Creating a safe, nurturing environment where authentic self-expression thrives, especially for children, is central to my approach. My commitment to the collaborative process is deeply personal, stemming from firsthand experience as the young child of divorced parents. I vividly recall the tranquility my siblings and I felt: always heard, unconditionally loved, shielded from conflict, and never used as pawns. I am passionate about helping families navigate challenges with similar grace and resilience. I firmly believe that all problems are solvable when approached with creativity and openness to possibilities rather than limitations."

At Rebecca Farnell Counselling, it is my desire to witness and delight in each of my clients. My hope is to provide a safe and welcoming space where diversity is celebrated and clients feel seen and empowered. I have specialized training in play therapy and neuro affirming counselling. As a child specialist, I work with families going through separation or divorce to help ensure that the children's voices are hard and their needs are at the heart of the process. I have a deep respect for families who choose the Collaborative Process- it's a brave and thoughtful step towards creating a healthy path forward. I work with divorce coaches and parents to better understand what their children may be feeling and needing during this time and how those insights can guide family decisions in ways that support everyone's well-being.
